Position Summary

As an integral part of Covaritys Product Management & Strategy team, the Product Manager will have ownership responsibilities for assessing market opportunity, defining product direction, writing product requirements and managing the product release process. You will manage both internal stakeholder and customer driven requirements in the overall context of our company, product vision and roadmap. Cross-group collaboration with Sales, Account Management, Research & Development and Technical Support teams are essential to success in this role. The ideal candidate will foster and maintain a culture where customers consider Covarity professional, valuable, and easy to work with.

 

Responsibilities

  • Creating the product roadmap and business case.
  • Meet with bank clients, prospects and partners to understand needs, problems, objectives and business pains to drive solution demonstrations that meet key needs.
  • Documenting and prioritizing product and customer requirements from customers, prospects, competitive information and other sources.
  • Working closely with all internal stakeholders to ensure revenue and customer satisfactions goals are met through the delivery of successful product functionality.
  • Ensuring that the product supports the companys overall strategy and goals.
  • Performing market research and market sizing.
  • Gathering competitive intelligence and be an expert with respect to key competitors.
  • Working closely with Research & Development, Quality Assurance Testing and Operations during the development and launch processes.
  • Assist pre-sales with the product demonstrations and proofs of concept to prospects.
  • Act as a product advocate across the company.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a technical field, with high academic achievement.
  • Degree in finance, business, accounting or related degree is a strong asset.
  • Ability to write clear market-driven product requirements.
  • Excellent time management & multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively at all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High energy, driven to innovate and a team player.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project and Viso.
  • Ability to travel within Canada and the United States.
  • Able to travel to client sites up to 10% of the time.
  • 3 to 5 years related experience.
  • Knowledge of and experience with commercial lending processes & technology applications is a strong asset.
  • Experience in software development including roles in any or all of product management, development, QA, or implementation consulting is an asset.
  • Experience working with an Agile product development environment and/or SaaS delivery model is an asset.
