SCOPE OF POSITION
- The Systems Administrator will be responsible for maintaining and providing overall support for Covarity's network, security, database and server implementations.
PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform day-to-day maintenance operations and troubleshooting efforts. These include but are not limited to:
- Maintenance of MS SQL 2000/2005 database
- Batch scripting
- Configuration changes
- Backups
- Documentation
- Datacenter changes
- Network analysis
- Windows server support
Projects including:
- New device and upgrade deployments
- Research of new technologies for networks and security
- Development and implementation of best practices and procedures for networking and security
- Windows server deployments
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong grasp of Internet (TCP/IP) Network practices and concepts
- Strong knowledge of MS SQL 2000/2005 Database analysis and maintenance
- Strong knowledge of MS Internet Information Server
- Experience with website performance analysis and system monitoring
- Experience in EMC storage architecture and support
- Windows 2003 server installation, configuration and support
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of direct network administration experience
- Microsoft MCSE certification
- Current Cisco CCNA certification
